Review of Rival Gaming casino software

Rival Gaming is one of a handful of online gaming software developers that develop casino games that are available for American online players. The Canadian developer was founded in 2006 and has since developed more than 150 games to more than 40 casino operators throughout the world. While also delivering games to independent casinos, Rival has also gained a name for running a bunch of white label casinos, and this has generally resulted in poorly managed casinos and bad experiences for punters.

Rival Games

As noted above, Rival Gaming has more than 150 games that it has developed, which include slots, table games, video poker, and specialty games. Many of the games tend to blend together as they are clearly developed on a low budget, and some are just not much fun. That being said, there are more than a few decent Rival games which include: Diamonds Down Under, Jolly Roger's Jackpot, Scary Rich, and Lost Secret of Atlantis. There are four Rival progressive jackpot games and the tend to be hit on a regular basis.

One interesting claim to fame for Rival are their series of games they call i-Slots. The "i" stands for interactive and the gimmick for these games are that they feature episodic storylines that unfold as you play them. Obviously its a bit of a trick used to encourage you to play the games for longer, but it is an innovative idea, if not that well executed. Some of the better i-Slots include the As the Reel Turns series, games styled like a daytime soap opera, Reel Crime, and A Switch in Time.

Rival's table games and video poker are a bit better developed, and have a nice variety to them, allowing punters the chance to play Craps, Blackjack, Pai Gow, Roulette, Ride'em Poker, and Red Dog. However it has been noted in the past that game rules are configurable and on at least one occasion at the now defunct Tradition Casino, the casino was caught out with the table felt display not matching the actual rules of the game in place - it was paying out 1:1 on a Blackjack instead of 3:2.

Casinos Offering Rival Games

We track many different online casinos featuring Rival casino games. Many of these sites are either badly managed by inexperienced affiliates who basically just market a white label casino skin on behalf of Rival in exchange for a paercentage of profits. These casinos mostly share the same centralised customer support and payment processing department. Most Rival-only casinos have small weekly and/or monthly payments limits, many have restrictive bonus rules that include caps on the amount you can win, and they are notorious for bonus-banning players that win after claiming a bonus. Some Rival casinos are on our blacklist as they have a history of scamming players and repeated slow-pays. Cavaet emptor.

That being said, there are some good casinos offering Rival games such as Desert Nights, Slots Capital, Casholot Casino, along with SlotsMillion, a multi-platform casino with hundreds of games from various different developers. The key thing to take away is to obviously be very careful about which Rival casino you choose to play at.

Conclusion

Rival Gaming is a company that develops many average games along with a few good titles. There are a lot of casinos offering Rival games, but most of them are subpar, so you are well advised to choose carefully when picking a Rival casino to play at.

Rival is one of the giants but i cant say that i ever loved them so much. Maybe because operators of these games usually are rogue casinos. But i liked their 50 lines slots. Especially Vintage Vegas.
