CQ9 is a casino game developer that's based out of Taiwan, a spot that doesn't seem to have a very large online betting market. The developer is poised to strike while the iron is hot though, as the Asian online gaming industry has begun to take off in recent years.
Despite being based in Asia, the company isn't giving up its global ambitions. CQ9 is working to deploy its games in the regulated European and American markets, although as of the publication of this article that partner base is quite small. Thus far, a good 90% of their casino partners are focused on the Asian market.
Game quality is pretty good, and every title you come across is deployed in HTML5 format. You're going to be able to play these games on both desktop and mobile devices, with most of the games tailored to the smaller screens on phones. There's a ton of variety to be found as well, with slot machines, roulette-style games, and even fish style games where you aim to harpoon the hell out of sea life for a chance at credits. I've seen these games at children's arcades and was surprised to see them present here.
In terms of payout percentages. there's not a ton of information on the games, which is a bit of a concern, as is the company doesn't appear to hold a gaming license through any jurisdiction, either. We'd like to see some firm information as to the payouts of the games, given the wide variety of titles available.
Without a doubt, it's very nice to see a major game developer that's focusing on releasing games tailored for those in Asian countries, and the strange games are a breath of fresh air for those of us in other markets who're used to seeing standard slots and table games.
