Review of Chartwell Technology casino software

Chartwell Technology is a Canadian online betting software developer that creates online slots that it then distributes to a small group of online betting operators. The game company was purchased and integrated into the Amaya Gaming Group in 2011.

Overview of Chartwell Games

Because it has been integrated into Amaya’s developer library, we can only speak for the games that Chartwell designed before it was acquired. The company is mainly known for putting out its wide selection of online slots, although these games appear to be quite dated when you compare them to many of the games put out by rival software developers.

There are roughly 17 video slots available from Chartwell, which are broken down into 5 reel video slots and 3 reel traditional games. These titles vary in their themes, but they all share some very simple graphics, limited animations, and generally have a presentation that can only be considered to be subpar by today’s standards.

The most paylines we have seen for a Chartwell game is 9, while all of the traditional games have a single payline. Bonus features are also present, with most games featuring Wild Symbols and bonus Pick’em Games. Less pronounced are Scatter Symbols, which seem to appear in just a handful of games.

Casinos Offering Chartwell Games

There are many casinos that offer Amaya’s games, but not many call themselves out as offering Chartwell Games. That leads to Chartwell’s offerings as being buried, which is probably a good thing as they are not all that impressive anyway.

Conclusion

Chartwell’s list of slots is not very impressive, as the games lack the production values and features that make so many other games fun to try out. The company has long since been folded into Amaya Gaming, which has absorbed Chartwell’s games and are thus offered on a series of online casino sites.
