Swedish Gaming Revenues Rise in Q2

Gaming revenues continue to grow in Sweden, as the country revealed growth of 2.8% during the second quarter of 2024, hitting SEK6.89 billion.

Key financial indicators for the quarter ending June 30th, 2024 were:

  • Revenues of SEK6.9 billion, up 2.8% from the SEK6.71 billion generated last year and up 3.3% from the first quarter of this year
  • Online gaming revenues were SEK4.57 billion, up 9.2% from last year
  • Physical slot revenue and state-owned lottery revenues were down 7.5% to SEK1.29 billion
  • Non-profit games and national lottery revenue was down 0.3% to SEK893 million
  • Casino Cosmopol revenue dropped 73.8% to SEK33 million
  • Community game and bingo hall revenues were flat at SEK52 million
  • Self-exclusion list registry was up 1.7%, and 112,000 has registered on the service.

No comment from the country's gaming regulator or industry associations were available at press time.
