Peruvian gaming is getting another company to bolster online betting, as software group SkillOnNet announced this week that it has been granted a gaming license by the country's Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Tourism.
The license will see SkillOnNet launching the brand PlayUZU.pe, which will see a variety of different games from the company and its associated platform. The casino will be in Spanish and provide legal services within the country.
Peru regulated online gaming in the country in August 2022, but the law didn't become effective until February of this year. At that time, a number of operators and software groups applied for licenses, which are now being granted. Latin America has been expanding with its online betting industries, as countries like Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina are providing services. Just this week, Brazil legalized the activity.
Regarding the licensing, SkillOnNet Head of Marketing for Spain & Latin America Helena Rico said: "We're thrilled that SkillOnNet has obtained a Peruvian license. It's a country we've been following closely over the last few years, as it has huge potential to become one of the most important markets in Latin America. We're sure that SkillOnNet will build a successful business as we take our unique proposition to the market, as well as one of the strongest games portfolios around. PlayUZU as SkillOnNet's main brand will bring to the market its unique "no wagering" proposition, meaning all the incentives given to players are restrictions free, with no strings attached. At PlayUZU we will be offering a transparent, fair and safe casino gaming experience which has already proved its success in Europe and America."
At press time, PlayUZU was available for punters in the country.
