Merkur Football Tournament Raises £12K for Charity

Employees at Merkur Casino were able to help raise £12,000 for charity by hosting a football tournament among the company and other assorted groups.

The tournament was held at Tattenhoe Sports Pavillion on June 8th, with Regal Gaming Technologies winning the men's trophy and Foleshill Women's winning the women's trophy. The funds raised from the matches will go to an array of different charities throughout the United Kingdom.

Merkur Casino UK COO Mark Schertle commented: "It might not quite have been on the scale of the forthcoming Euros, but it was great to see so many of our business partners and employees come together for a fantastic afternoon of friendly football in aid of charity.

"We never anticipated raising anywhere near £12,000 - and our thanks go to everyone for their fantastic fundraising efforts and sheer generosity."

Merkur has been working on expanding its brand, having recently signed an agreement to bring Reel Games content to their Jade Casino brand in the Caribbean.
