KRAIL Blocks 371 More Betting Sites in Ukraine

Ukraine's gaming regulator KRAIL announced this week that it has blocked an additional 371 betting websites that were operating illegally in the country.

KRAIL used its power under Order No. 451/2256 to order the blocking of the illegal sites. Internet service providers (ISPs) in the country are obligated to block access to the sites through DNS servers.

There have been thousands of sites blocked by KRAIL over the years, as the country has its own regulated market.

For its part, KRAIL is under fire, as the country's politicians are looking at dismantling the regulator due to rules that five of the six members of the regulator need to be present for meetings. With the ongoing war in Ukraine, some members of the regulator are mobilised and serving on the front lines, making the meetings impossible to he held. A bill to do this is currently working its way through the legislative process.
