Aggregator St8.io Gets Malta Licence

St8.io has been granted a recognition notice by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). This approval allows St8.io to operate within the MGA's regulatory framework, expanding its global reach.

The recognition is equivalent to a standard MGA B2B licence and is based on St8.io's existing licence from the Romanian National Gambling Office which was obtained last year.

This development marks the next step in St8.io's growth since its launch less than two years ago. With the MGA's recognition, the company can now provide its platform to operators in MGA-regulated markets around the world, enhancing its ability to support partners in more regions.

In February 2024, St8.io partnered with Betby to offer a single API integration for both casino and sportsbook content. This collaboration enables St8.io's operator partners to access Betby's sportsbook through the same API used for casino content, reducing the need for additional integration efforts. The partnership covers over 210,000 monthly events across 125 sports and more than 3,000 betting markets.

Gaming aggregation group St8.io announced this week that it has been given approval to operate in Malta through the Malta Gaming Authority.

The licencing will allow St8.io to partner with casino operators in the country, and is the latest move for the company since it was founded two years ago. The Estonia-based group has previously partnered with Jade Rabbit Studios, SlotMill, Booming Games, and others to develop a platform that's attractive to casino groups. The company also holds a licence in Romania.

"This will enable us to provide our platform to operators in MGA-regulated markets worldwide, maintaining the highest levels of player protection along the way," said St8.io CEO Vladimir Negine. "Alongside the licence we received in Romania, we're now able to support partners in even more markets. Our plan is to continue to expand our licensed footprint in 2024 and beyond."
