Four Gambling Meccas You Need to Visit

Venetian Macau

If you're visiting this site, I assume you either love (or at least like) casino gambling. While we're here to give you the best places to play online, even we like to hit land casinos once in a while.

Gambling is a lot of fun, whether it's at a small slot hall, a tribal casino, or a five-star resort. With that said, there are some locations that just stand out above the others. I thought I'd take some time to share with you what I feel are four of the best land casinos in the world, and why you should check them out.

Venetian Macau

Yes, the original Venetian casino resort was built in Las Vegas, but this location is newer and features new amenities that the Sin City version is missing. The casino floor is the largest in the world at 546,000 square-feet, and players will be up to their ears with baccarat tables, as this is by far the most popular game to play in the former Portuguese colony. Other games include blackjack, sic bo, and roulette, among others. There is also a sizeable slot machine selection with various denominations available.

Outside of the gaming floor, the Venetian Macau sports a 15,000-seat entertainment arena, luxury dining, and a huge shopping mall area that sits alongside a man-made canal that's navigated by gondolas that you can hitch rides on.

Without a doubt, this is one of the highest-end casino experiences in the world and definitely the best in Macau (for now).

Monte Carlo Casino (Monaco)

Have you ever wanted to feel like you're in a real-life James Bond movie, sipping Martinis as you partake in Punto Banco while staring down various villains? While we can't vouch for the villains, Monte Carlo Casino in Monaco does check the other boxes. Visitors here have to dress up a bit to access the gaming rooms, but players who just want to play slots don't need to meet these rules. A €19 fee is charged for access.

Once inside the casino, you're treated to an elegant interior that opened over 150 years ago, though the traditional decor may appear gaudy to some. While this casino may not have all of the modern amenities of some of the other locations mentioned, being able to play blackjack, French roulette, or craps at this location will give you a story to tell your friends about.

Bellagio Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas)

Famous for its iconic fountains on the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio Hotel & Casino is one of the highest-end destinations that you'll find in Las Vegas. The MGM Resorts-owned property opened its doors 25 years ago and and has built a name for itself with its luxury shopping area, spas, and top-notch dining.

The casino side of the things is just as impressive, as you'll find a 156,000 square-foot gaming area that features a wealth of slots, as well as more than 150 gaming tables. Things here tend to be on the higher side for bets, as the casino boasts one of the better high-roller VIP areas in the market. A high-stakes poker room with a $20,000 buy-in is also located on-site.

If you're going to Las Vegas and want to experience luxury at its finest, you have to make sure that you check out the Bellagio. It's certainly worth a stay, but you can access the resort for just a day by walking down the Strip if you don't want to ante up for a room.

Hippodrome (London)

London's Hippodrome is an iconic casino that first opened its doors more than 120 years ago as a theatre before becoming a casino in 2012. I actually stumbled upon this casino in 2020, just before the Covid-19 pandemic. The casino itself is impressive to see. You have the Grand Casino gaming floor, which is home to slots, table games, and various other electronic types of wagering games. Here you'll find various types of blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and three card poker on the floor.

There's a really nice Heliot Steak House on-site which provides a wealth of luxury beef, including Japanese Wagyu, Argentinian Rib Eye, and Irish Wexford Tomahawks. Be sure to visit here before you hit Magic Mike Live, as the beef during the show will put you on overload!

This list is by no means exhaustive, but it does cover what I feel are some of the best and most iconic betting locales in the world. What places have you been to, and what places do you think other gamblers should visit? Let us know in the comments below.

Clearly you have not sampled the delights of the Rooty Hill RSL club in Sydney Australia. Truly a breathtaking place to visit. That may or may not be sarcastic BTW. 😉
