Spelinspektionen Bans Three Operators

Swedish gaming regulator Spelinspektionen announced this week that they've banned three online betting operators for offering services to Swedish players without a licence.

The affected operators are Newera Frozen PTE Limited, Aprodi Limited, and Galatika NV. The charges against Newera Frozen PTE Limited and Aprodi Limited are offering skin lottery-style draws to customers through the Hellcanse and Key-drop domains. Both of those spots advertised on YouTube and Twitch, and provided information in Swedish, which was enough for Spelinspektionen to go after them.

Galatika was targeting players through their Drip.casino brand using affiliate marketing that provided information in Swedish. For its part, the company says that they didn't specifically target Swedish players, but that they instead shop out their marketing to third parties and that one of those affiliates used Swedish to promote the casino.

The regulator has been working to enforce Sweden's gaming rules, and just last week they announced that they fined game supplier Yggdrasil SEK300,000 for providing games to an operator that wasn't licenced in the country.
