KSA Issues Warning to Casbit Group

Last week Dutch gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit announced that they've issued a warning to operator Casbit Group for providing unlicenced betting services in the country through its Lala.bet domain.

The warning comes after the KSA issued notice to the company, noting that Dutch players were able to access the site. Casbit then worked to resolve the issue, but a subsequent look at the site found that Dutch players could still access the site, which led to the warning. If the operator does not take additional steps to rectify the situation, they'll face weekly fines of €280,000 up to €840,000.

In a statement, the KSA said: "Strict rules and regulations apply to offering games of chance with a permit. These aim to provide a safe legal offer, where players are assured of fair play and are protected against gambling addiction. Offering illegal games of chance undermines this system and the safety of the player."

The KSA has been working to clamp down on illegal operators in the country following liberalisation of the market. Last week we reported that the KSA is working with technical services company Cloud Flare to detect betting sites from providing services to Dutch players.
