Fanatics Goes Live in Kansas

This week Fanatics Betting and Gaming announced the launch of their services in a new market, as the company has once again absorbed PointsBet in the Jayhawk State and replaced the sportsbook with their own.

The move is made with immediate effect, meaning that Fanatics is live for customers. Existing customers of PointsBet can log into the new Fanatics sportsbook using their existing credentials. All information, including account balance, comp points, and responsible gaming controls have also been ported over.

The launch marks the 17th state that Fanatics is live in, as the company has been slowly absorbing the American-facing business of PointsBet, which opted for a strategic pullout of the market. Notably, Fanatics went live in North Carolina earlier in the month and also just got an Arizona sportsbetting license.

Sportsbetting continues to be a growing market in Kansas, as handle for the month of February hit $203 million. $193.9 million of that came from online books, while the rest was retail. Revenues were also up 8,405.8% to $3.1 million. $3 million of that was from online betting. Taxes generated during the month were $305,494.
