Venetian Las Vegas Moves Poker Room

Poker players in Sin City will have a new spot to play their favorite game, as The Venetian Resort Las Vegas has moved the location of its poker room.

The room will be taken off the casino floor and moved to the Grand Canal Shoppes, sitting on Level 2. It will take up 14,000 square-feet and have 50 tables. The room will feature TVs, restrooms, a self-service soda fountain, charging ports at every seat, sportsbetting kiosks, and loyalty kiosks.

Commenting on the move, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Chief Gaming Officer Danny Ruiz said: The expansion of the poker room is a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts of reimagining the gaming experience at The Venetian Resort. The room was designed to provide an elevated playing experience and everything from design details to enhancements were made with the players in mind."

An exact timeframe for the moving of the room wasn't made publicly available. Details on what will go onto the casino floor in lieu of the poker room were also not made available, although it's likely that the space will be filled with slots or table games, both of which are more lucrative for casino operators.
