The state of New York announced today that the state set a new online sportsbetting record in January, hitting $211.5 million during the period.
The record is the second one in consecutive months for the Empire State, which had revenues of $188.3 million in 2023. The revenue total was also up 41.6% from the $149.4 million that was generated in 2023.
Handle hit $1.96 billion for the month, up 9.5% from last year, but down 3.9% from the $2.04 billion generated in December.
FanDuel (a Flutter company) racked up the highest revenue total in the state, with $109.2 million generated. This marks the largest revenue total ever recorded by a single operator and is the first time a single company has generated in excess of $100 million in revenue. DraftKings was in second place with $71 million, which itself is a new revenue record.
Handle for FanDuel and DraftKings was $867.1 million and $663.8 million, respectively.
