Gauselmann Completes Branding to Merkur

German-based gaming company Gauselmann Group announced that they've finalised their rebranding process and have become Merkur Group, finishing a process that began in September of last year.

The company is now going to be operating under the title AG, which will fall under the holding company Gauselmann AG. The change became effective yesterday as the company's new name is reflected in the commercial register, which required amending.

Gauselmann was formed 67 years ago and launched the Merkur brand in the 70's. The current ownership and management structures of the company will remain in place, with the change being done to "harmonise" the brand.

Commenting on the change, Merkur Group Founder Paul Gauselmann said, "The corporate group is becoming increasingly digital and international. The change of name reflects this fact. Both developments will benefit from linking the appeal of our Merkur brand to the company name.

"Continuity and stability are cornerstones of our corporate philosophy and will continue to be important factors for success going forward."
