The New York Gaming Commission announced today that the state's sportsbetting handle hit an all-time record of $2.11 billion in November, up 36% from last year. The number is also up 5% from October's handle number.
Revenues from sportsbetting were $150 million, down from the all-time record of $166.3 million, but up 1.8% from last year. 80% of the market was cornered by the juggernauts FanDuel and DraftKings, with punters betting $923.4 million at FanDuel and $723.1 million at DraftKings. Revenues at FanDuel were $69.2 million, while at DraftKings revenues were $54.3 million.
Caesars was in a distant third position with $205 million in handle and $11.6 million in revenue. BetMGM had handle of $120.6 million and revenues of $7.9 million. Rush Street Interactive rounded out the top-five, with $76.6 million in bets that generated $5 million in revenue.
New York has consistently been the top performer in terms of handle when it comes to sportsbetting when compared to other states. The Empire State is also looking at expanding betting offerings, as there are three casino tenders up for grabs, which will be announced in the coming months. Among the possible developments are a casino new the New York Mets' Citi Field and a Caesars location by Times Square.
