New York Hits $2 Billion Handle Mark in October

The state of New York hit $2 billion in sportsbetting handle last month, becoming the first state in the country to hit the massive handle number.

$2.01 billion was bet online or through mobile devices, up 30.5% from the same period last year. The numbers are also up 14.2% from the $1.76 billion bet in September. Revenues for the month were $166.3 million, up slightly from the $165.5 million in September, while also up 14.1% from last year.

FanDuel was the best-performing operator in the market, with $891.9 million in handle and $83.1 million in revenues. DraftKings was in the next spot with $652.3 million in handle and $59.3 million in revenue. Caesars was in third place with $193.2 million in handle and $10.9 million in revenue. BetMGM and Rush Street Interactive rounded out the top-five, with $7.2 million and $3.3 million in revenue, respectively.

Tax figures paid by the companies weren't publicly available at press time.
