Nevada Gaming Revenue Hits $1.27 Billion

Nevada's gaming sector continues to purr along like a well-fed kitten, with the Nevada Gaming Control Board reporting that casino revenues in September jumped 1.69% to $1.27 billion.

Las Vegas Strip revenues were up 7% to $741.2 million, while Clark County as a whole had $1 billion in revenue, up 1.8%. Washoe Country's revenues dropped 6.6%.

Slot machine revenue made up most of the total numbers, coming in at $814.6 million. This represented a 5% drop from last year. Multi-denomination slot revenues were $473.9 million. Table game revenue was up 16.6% to $455.9 million, with baccarat being the top-earner at $148.8 million.

Sportsbetting revenues were down 12% to $62.3 million, with handle reaching $811.3 million. Mobile betting accounted for 66.4% of wagers.

Taxes collected by the state were $77.6 million, down 3.59% from last year.
