New Yorkers took to their mobile sportsbooks in September like flies take to feces, as handle surged to a six-month high of $1.76 billion, while revenues set a record at $165.5 million.
Revenues were up 15.6% from last year and 68.1% higher than the month prior, when totals were $98.5 million.
The amount wagered at the books was the highest total since March, when $1.79 billion was bet. The top-performing book was FanDuel, which had $76.9 million in gross gaming revenues on $682.5 million in handle. DraftKings was in second spot with $61.4 million in GGR on $710.5 million. Caesars was in third position with $12.6 million in GGR on $174 million in handle, while BetMGM and Rush Street interactive rounded out the top five.
Of note, the Bally Bet brand was closed for the third consecutive month as the company works on changing up its offering in the Empire State.
No information relating to the taxes paid by the company was available at press time.
