Tipster Loses Maltese Licence

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Gaming operator Tipster Limited's Maltese gaming licence was canceled this week by the country's gaming regulator following the company closing down their business.

The company announced that it was closing shop in June, which triggered the MGA to suspend the group's licence. Now that the business is wound up, the licence has been revoked. As a result, the company must settle all outstanding fees with the regulator and remove any reference to the MGA from their websites.

Tipster entered insolvency in June, and the company lost their German gaming licence shortly thereafter. The company was the subject of rumors surrounding police raids that took place at the company's headquarters in Germany, following a lengthy investigation by the company.

No comment from the MGA or Tipster was available at press time.
