Several CA Residents Arrested in Gambling Raid

Police in Bakersfield, California announced that they've arrested several residents of Kern County in two illegal gambling raids.

The raids were conducted by the Bakersfield Police Department's VICE squad, and saw several people taken into custody.

A location on Baker Street was hit by police, as well as a location on Chester Avenue. The Chester location saw 10 illegal gambling machines seized, as well as money, drugs, and a gun that was reported stolen.

In the first raid, Brian Sandez and Stephanie Castillo were both charged with conducted illegal gambling, while Sarah Luna was charged with conducting illegal gambling, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia. In the other raid, Arlene Cavillo and Celeste Rodriguez were charged with conducting illegal gambling. Two others were booked for outstanding warrants.
