The state of Mississippi announced its sportsbetting revenues for the month of July, revealing that revenues were flat when compared to 2022 with $2.5 million being generated.
The numbers are up 38.9% from June of this year, and come off of $17.7 million in handle. That number is down 3.3% from last year as well as 13.2% from the $20.4 million bet in June.
The Coastal Mississippi region generated $1.2 million of the revenue total on wagers of $11.5 million. The Central Region generated $896,790 in revenue on $3.9 million in handle. The Northern Region casinos generated $403,005 in revenues on $2.3 million in handle.
Baseball was the most bet sport of the month, with $9.6 million in wagers. This will likely change, as the NFL and NCAA football seasons are getting underway.
