MGM Resorts Donates $2.7 Million in Grants

MGM Resorts International's charitable foundation, MGM Resorts Foundation announced this week that it has donated over $2.7 million in grants to non-profit organizations throughout the United States.

The money was distributed to 107 different organizations throughout the regions in which MGM has a presence. The foundation makes decisions on issuing grants by groups of MGM Resorts employees who represent different regions. Some areas that received funds include, New Jersey, Michigan, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Washington DC.

"MGM Resorts employees continue to amaze us with their generosity and commitment to our local communities," said MGM Resorts Foundation VP of Philanthropy and Community Engagement Maria Gatti. "On behalf of our 107 grant recipients, thank you for your donations and even more importantly, for enlivening our company's belief in investing in our communities through giving as well as volunteerism."

News of the donations comes shortly after the company announced that revenues jumped 21% in the second quarter to $3.9 billion.
