This week the Maltha Gaming Authority announced that it has cancelled the B2C licence of EGMIT Elite Limited after the operator was found to have breached multiple Malta gaming regulations.
The regulator found that EGMIT Elite had breached numerous sections of the gaming code, specifically areas related to subsections (b), (c), (d), (i), (l) and (m). These pertain to comply with orders set forth by the MGA, not adhering to regulations and laws, not making timely payments for its operations, and failing to meet player commitments in a timely manner. The company was also found to have not paid their licencing fees on time.
The cancellation is effective immediately, and the company cannot operate under the MGA licence. It must also remove any reference to the regulator from its site. The MGA also announced that it has begun liquidation proceedings against the company and filed a police report.
EGMIT Elite Limited rand the betting site Elite24bet, and players who have balances with the operator are encouraged to reach out to the MGA for potential resolutions.
