Bet365 Gets Arizona Sportsbetting License

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Gaming operator Bet365 announced today that it has been issued a sportsbetting license through the state of Arizona, filling one of the few remaining spots in the Grand Canyon State.

The license was granted through the Arizona Department of Gaming and comes in the form of an event wagering license linked with the Ak-Chin Native American tribe. The group is taking the spot of the former Fubo Sportsbook, which gave up its license last fall.

Bet365 will be providing a number of sportsbetting products to customers in the state, with football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and others all available. With the license, Bet365 is now licensed in seven states, with the company already active in New Jersey, Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, and Virginia. The company is planning to launch in Kentucky on September 28th.

The North American market is showing promising signs for Bet365 in particular regions, despite entering the region later than its competitors. The company recently beat out the likes of BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook in the state of Ohio in terms of revenues.

No launch date for the sportsbook was given at press time, although our news team will be updating readers when it does go live.
