SCGO Gets Dutch Gaming Licence

The Netherlands' gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit has issued an operator licence to SCGO Limited, although the company hasn't decided what brand they'll launch in the country.

SCGO is known largely for their Vbet betting brand, but it isn't confirmed that this is the brand that will launch in the country. With the certification, SCGO is now the 24th operator to be given the green light in the Netherlands. The licence is active from June 23rd, 2023 through June 22nd, 2028.

The licencing comes among a period of changes in the Netherlands, as the country is seeing overhauls of its self-exclusion program. It also is proposing changes to the country's gambling laws, including how operators use data, and trying to bring the land-slot business in line with rules pertaining to online slots.

No comment from the KSA or SCGO was made regarding the licence being issued.
