Rivalry Launches Ontario Sportsbetting App

Betting operator Rivalry has announced that it has expanded its sportsbetting operation in Ontario, as it launched its mobile sportsbetting app in the province effective today.

Rivalry has been working in Ontario since last year, but this is the first time the company is offering mobile sportsbetting in Canada's largest province. The product will provide traditional sportsbetting on events like hockey, basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. Esports is also being supported, with tournament games like Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counterstrike: Go having action offered.

Regarding the launch, Rivalry CEO Steven Salz said, "Mobile betting is a significant addition for our Ontario operations and core audience of Millennial and Gen Z consumers that prefer the flexibility of betting on their phones.

"Launching a mobile app adds an important layer of accessibility to our product, increasing our addressable market in Ontario, and allowing us to bring esports betting to more customers in the region and ultimately grow the category."
