Gambling operator Fun88 has announced that it has expanded its sponsorship with the Premier League's Newcastle United and will continue to help promote the club in Asia.
The agreement is good for multiple years and will see Fun88 promoting the club using VIP experiences for fans of the club, merchandise giveaways, and other promotions. The two groups have worked together since 2017, with Fun88's logo appearing on the club's shirts. The extension comes as the Premier League announced that they're going to be ending the practice of allowing gambling sponsorship of clubs at the end of the 2025-2026 campaign. As a result of this extension, Fun88's logo will come off of the shirt, with a Middle Eastern company appearing in its place, with the sponsorship using other methods of promotion.
Fun88 focuses on Asian betting markets, but has a white label licence in the UK through TGP Holdings, making it eligible for sponsorship and advertising in the country.
In a statement, Newcastle United noted: "The club thanks Fun88 for its support over the past six campaigns and looks forward to working together over coming seasons."
