Nevada Gaming Revenues Hit $1.29 Billion in May

Casino gaming revenues in the state of Nevada declined slightly in May, hitting $1.29 billion for the period.

The revenue number was 0.8% lower than the same period last year, but jumped 11.2% from the $1.16 billion brought in during April of this year.

Slots are the highest earner, with revenues climbing 0.9% to $877.9 million. Multi-denomination slots were $501.3 million of the total, while penny slots were $285.9 million.

Table game revenues were down 4.4% to $411.2 million. Baccarat revenues were down 0.5% to $133.8 million, while blackjack revenues were down 2.7% to $104.8 million. Craps dropped 19.4% to $36.4 million, and roulette revenues were down 10.9% to $30.3 million.

Sportsbetting revenues were up 11.4% to $30.1 million. Baseball revenues were $16.5 million, while basketball revenues were $11.9 million. Hockey revenues were $328,000, and other sports generated $4.9 million. Football wagers generated a $3.6 million loss for the books, and parlay cards generated a $10,000 loss.

Clark County, which houses Las Vegas, saw revenues of $1.12 billion. Of this, $716 million was generated by the Las Vegas Strip.
