Dutch Police Break Up Illegal Poker Tournament

Dutch police working with the country's gaming regulator Kansspelautoriteit announced that they've broken up an illegal poker tournament in the town of Waddinxveen.

The two groups received a tip that the tournament was going to be held at a specific location, and the team showed up to break up the enterprise. When they entered, the tournament was underway, with dozens of players partaking in the illicit activity.

The stakes for the tournament were taken into custody and was valued at several thousand euros. Other equipment, such as poker tables, were also taken into custody.

Tournament organisers were identified, and are currently under criminal investigation.
