Betting company BetVictor has announced that they've signed an agreement to sponsor the Canadian Elite Basketball League, which represents competitive basketball in the country (outside of the NBA's Toronto Raptors).
The deal will see BetVictor serving as the league's Official Sports Betting Partner for the 2023 season, granting the company exclusive marketing rights and usage of the league's logos. BetVictor is currently licensed in Ontario, where it provides sportsbetting and casino services to customers.
The Canadian Elite Basketball League debuted five years ago and boasts 10 teams across Canada. Key markets include Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver, among others. The league boasts numerous Canadian and international players, many of whom boast collegiate experience. The upcoming season will begin this week, culminating with playoffs that'll take place in August.
"This partnership provides us with a unique opportunity to connect with Canadian basketball fans and showcase our commitment to providing the best sports betting experience possible," said BetVictor's Samuel Boswell. "We have an extensive range of sports betting options. These include live in-play betting, parlays and futures markets. Fans can bet on the games they love and experience the excitement of basketball like never before.
"Through our partnership with the CEBL, we hope to promote responsible gambling and provide fans with the tools they need to gamble responsibly."
CEBL CEO Mike Morreale added: "This partnership with BetVictor will not only offer cutting-edge online gaming experience to users but also an increased awareness of the CEBL brand globally."
