Betting group WagerWire announced this week that it is launching a media division to provide content for those interested in sportsbetting within the North American market.
The service will launch on the WagerWire website and will see various content creators providing insights into the sportsbetting scene. These pieces of content will include written articles, audio, and video releases, and will launch alongside a community section, where visitors can provide their own thoughts and opinions.
The launch of the service comes alongside the company's Bet Value Calculator, which shows real market values of bets and provides comparisons to cash out offers.
Regarding the launch, WagerWire Content Manager Nick Davis said, "The new movement in social media is all about community. Recent years have isolated sports fans and bettors and sent them to the internet in search of something.
"What we have found is that users are looking for mutual engagement. We have put a significant amount of time into the community letting them know that we see them, we want to know more about them, and we want to elevate their content."
Company co-founder Travis Geiger also commented, adding: "The current sports betting media landscape is uninspiring for sports fans and bettors. The status quo is basically a stale sea of so-called experts telling people what to do. WagerWire is disrupting this monotony by injecting some democracy.
"People want to be invited to be a part of something. They want to engage and to be engaged with. They crave an interactive and honest way to connect with the brands with whom they choose to spend their time and money."
