MGCB Launches Responsible Gambling Campaign

This week the Michigan Gaming Control Board announced that they've launched an advertising campaign to promote responsible betting within the Wolverine State, as gambling has expanded online and seen sportsbetting introduced in recent years.

The campaign is dubbed 'Don't Regret the Bet', and will run on TV, radio, on digital billboards, POS locations at lottery-selling stores, and digitally. These digital ads will include the likes of streaming video services and on various podcasts.

MGCB has also launched a web domain DontRegretTheBet.org, which provides resources to players to help them identify potentially problematic gambling triggers, while also providing resources for those who need assistance.

The campaign was designed and is being run in conjunction with King Media.

Regarding the campaign, Michigan Gambling Control Board Executive Director Henry Williams said, "Starting in March, Michigan residents will hear and see new public service messages on local TV and radio stations and on popular social media platforms reminding them to enjoy gaming responsibly.

"March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, making it the perfect time to launch the MGCB's educational campaign. The yearlong campaign is a crucial step in our ongoing efforts to reach the public with information, tips and tactics promoting responsible gaming."
