Betting operator LeoVegas has announced that they've been granted a license from Gemeinsamen Glücksspielbehörde (GGL), and will now be able to offer their casino slots within Germany.

The company will provide betting through LeoVegas and LVSports through LVSports Limited, with games available in each of the country's 16 states. The group will also be sanctioned to carry out marketing activities throughout the country.

Regarding the licensing, LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman said, "We are looking forward to launching LeoVegas in Germany under the new nationwide licence. With our track record of regulated markets, we will ensure the greatest iGaming experience with a high level of consumer protection."

News of the new market will be welcome news to LeoVegas' new owner MGM Resorts, as the company posted an operating loss for the first three months of its 2022 fiscal year.

No launch date for the service was available at press time.
