Gaming operator Coolbet announced that they're going to be leaving the Ontario gaming market effective April 3rd after spending a year in the province.
The company will be turning off the ability to deposit on the casino on March 21st, and players are being urged to either withdraw funds or add enough money to pull funds off the site. Coolbet said that Trustly has a minimum withdrawal of CAD $0.01, but that Interact has a minimum withdrawal of CAD $1.00, hence the advice to deposit to top off the accounts.
On March 22nd, the casino and sportsbetting options will be turned off, and all future bets will be voided and refunded. The site will then focus on having customers withdraw funds until April 3rd, when the site will shut down. Players who hold balances after this time will have to reach out to Coolbet to settle accounts.
In an email to users, Coolbet wrote: "We strongly encourage you to withdraw your funds as soon as possible. In case you have not made any withdrawals before, we would require you to verify your bank account that will be used to pay out your remaining balance. Once you have requested the withdrawal please check your email for further instructions on how to complete the verification."
No reason for the pullout was given at press time.
