Top Sport Issued Another Fine in Lithuania

Gaming operator Top Sport has been issued yet another fine by the Lithuania Gambling Supervisory Authority after they failed to have proper CCTV services at retail locations.

The company was fined €15,000 for improper installation of the surveillance system at a gambling shop in the city of Vilinius after inspectors found video quality was poor and that actions from staff working counters weren't visible. The regulator determined the installation made it so that it is unable for viewers to tell how much money is being paid in and paid out. Furthermore, the data recorded wasn't always being saved.

The regulator found Top Sport in violation of Article 15, Paragraphs 2, 3, and 15 of the Law of the Republic of Lithuania when it comes to gambling regulations.

This is the second time in the past few months that Top Sport has been fined for inadequate CCTV installations. In September the company was fined for the same offense, while in November they were fined for letting a foreign player gamble on their site.

Top Sport does have the right to challenge the fine.
