Rivers Casino Employees Have Paychecks Stolen

The Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, Iowa experienced a theft of employee paychecks, which where then altered and subsequently cashed at currency exchanges in the area.

The checks were stolen after they were mailed out by the casino, and varied in value from between $300 and $1,600. The checks were altered to change identities and were then cashed out at various businesses around Chicago. There were over a dozen checks stolen by the thief or thieves.

Federal authorities are investigating the crimes and are looking for suspects.
