This week the Rhode Island Lottery revealed the state's December sportsbetting financials, noting that both revenues and handle grew during the month.
Handle for the month was $59.2 million, up 7.8% from the same month last year. The numbers were down a tick from the $61.2 million in November, however. $36.7 million of this total was bet online, while $22.5 million was bet at retail locations. $15.3 million of the retail book total was wagered at Twin River, while Tiverton Casino had $7.2 million bet.
Revenues were $6.2 million, up 416.7% from last year, and also up 26.5% from November. Online sportbsetting revenues were $4.2 million of the total. Twin River Casino had $1 million in sportsbetting revenues, while Tiverton Casino had $996,580. Player win for the month was $53 million.
The end-of-year data shows handle of $270.6 million, with player winnings of $241.1 million, which leaves $29.4 million in revenue for books.
