Elys Gets Ohio License

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Betting software group Elys Game Technology has announced that they've been granted a sportsbetting license from the Ohio Casino Control Commission, after obtaining conditional approval in November.

The license will be good for a period of five years, with the effective date being January 1st, 2023. The license will allow Elys to provide sportsbetting services to sportsbooks throughout the state. The company already has a distribution agreement with Wright Bet, and says that they have agreements with over 100 locations to host their betting software in the Buckeye State.

Ohio had its sportsbetting industry active to accept wagers since January 1st, with online and retail sportsbetting services now available to those 21 years or older.

Elys has been active in the United States gaming market of late, having launched with Cloakbook to open a Washington DC-based sportsbook, and is working on expansion throughout the country.
