Kentucky-based gaming operator Churchill Downs Incorporated has announced that they've partnered with the US subsidiary of operator bet365 to offer betting services in the state of Pennsylvania, using the gaming license of Presque Isle Downs & Casino.

The deal would give Churchill Downs the right to offer the betting service under the bet365 brand, which is known widely throughout Europe and has been expanding into regulated markets within the United States. The deal is subject to regulatory approval, and thus far has not be approved of by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

"We are pleased to partner with a global leader in the online gaming industry," said Churchill Downs Incorporated CEO Bill Carstanjen. "Our relationship with bet365 enables us to maximize the value of our company's sports betting and iGaming market access in Pennsylvania."

A representative for bet365 also issued comment, noting: "Off the heels of our launch in Ohio, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Churchill Downs Incorporated. Once live, the world's favourite online sports betting brand will be available to sports fans in Pennsylvania, offering fantastic site features, including Bet Boosts, Same Game Parlay, Cash Out, and Edit Bet, on top of our market-leading sign-up offer."

News of the agreement comes on the heels of Churchill Downs Incorporated purchased assets of Peninsula Pacific Entertainment for $2.75 billion. The deal closed in November and provides extended access for the company throughout the United States.
