Yesterday we reported that Betsson extended its sportsbetting sponsorship with Liga 1 in Peru. Today, the company announced that they've signed a partnership with the National Association of Professional Football.
The agreement will see Betsson serving as the title sponsor of the Chilean First Division, which will be renamed the Campeonato Betsson. The operator will get exclusive marketing rights, with signage at events and the ability to promote the league's events to punters in the country. Betsson has previously worked to sponsor the country's second division Ascenso, and is the official betting partner of the Chilean National Team.
The company has been expanding in the Latin American market, citing it as its top performer in terms of revenue in recent financial reports.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Betsson CCO Ronni Hartvig said, "Through this latest collaboration, we are steadfastly reinforcing our commitment to support the development of football in Chile.
"It is evident that the advantages of this partnership are mutual, as these alliances allow the tournament to advance and flourish, while also enabling our brand to strengthen its preeminent position within the region."
ANFP President Pablo Milad also commented, adding: "We are pleased to sign this alliance with Betsson and are confident that the agreement will serve to enhance the promotion and development of Chilean football and of our tournament.
"We look forward to the 2023 competition, set to commence this Friday, which we are sure will be a highly engaging and captivating experience for the fans, as a result of the high stakes and the clubs' efforts to be the leading contenders."
