Gaming operator Betfair has announced that they've signed an agreement with Brazillian football team Cruzeiro, and will have their logo placed on the team's shirts for the next two seasons.
Betfair's logo will be featured on the front of the men's team shirts as well as being placed on the back of women's shirts. The logo will also be found on the various training kits worn by the team, as well as in the stadium. Interview backdrops will also feature the logo. Betfair also announced that they'll be working with the team to offer fan experiences and prize drawings, which can comprise of kit and event tickets.
Cruzeiro recently was awarded promotion to the top-tier of football in Brazil, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Betfair has been working to expand its horizons in the market, as more punters in the country turn to sportsbetting brands.
Commenting on the launch, Betfair International Managing Director Kimberly Daly said, "This partnership is a demonstration of Betfair's commitment and investment in the club's professional men's and women's teams, without losing focus on what is most precious to Cruzeiro: the fans."
Cruzeiro CEO Gabriel Lima added: "This historic partnership has a lot of strength and huge potential. The club is going through a very special moment. Closing with Betfair, one of the giants in its industry, is an important step on Cruzeiro's way back to its well-deserved prominent position in Brazilian football."
