Online poker giant PokerStars has announced that they've signed a partnership agreement with the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and will work to promote their product through the team moving forward.

The agreement will be good for multiple years and will see PokerStars offering fans of the team different prizes, including tickets, game memorabilia, and merchandise. There will be PokerStars branding on the ice at the team's home of Little Caesars Arena, as well as other marketing opportunities for the Flutter Entertainment-owned company.

This isn't the first hockey deal for PokerStars, as the company has previously partnered with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, the company that owns the Toronto Maple Leafs and NBA team the Toronto Raptors.

Regarding the agreement, PokerStars US Managing Director Severin Rasset said, "We are extremely proud and excited to build a long-term relationship with such an iconic NHL team as the Red Wings. Through this partnership, we look forward to delivering epic experiences for our PokerStars community, expanding on what we can offer our Michigan-based players, as well as those across the rest of the US."

Illitch Sports and Entertainment CEO Chris McGowan added: "This is a partnership that our fans, especially poker players, will really enjoy. It's great to see PokerStars' branding on the ice level at Little Caesars Arena, and we're very appreciative of their support."
