Multiple Snooker Pros Suspended For Match-Fixing Allegations

This week the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association announced that they've suspended multiple players amid allegations of match-fixing.

The suspensions are effective immediately and will be in place until the investigations are complete. Among those wrapped up in the scandal is Yan Bingtao, the former Masters champion who's currently ranked 16th in the world. Other suspended players include Lu Ning, Li Hang, Zhao Jianbo, Bai Langning and Chang Bingyu.

Other notable suspensions in recent months include Liang Wenbo and Garry Coulson, who were suspended for misconduct.

All players are being blocked from participating in the World Snooker Tour events that are held throughout the world. The next event in the series is the BetVictor English Open, which begins today and runs through the 18th of December.

All of the players have the right to appeal their suspension, but it's not known whether or not the players will do so.
