Online betting firm Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has announced that they've entered into an agreement with News Corp UK & Ireland and will deliver casino and sportsbetting content using the brands talkSPORT and The Sun.
The gaming products will launch imminently to take advantage of the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will also see casino games being implemented using the brands. GiG has a UK gaming licence and will be able to facilitate the backend running of the programs. Players will be able to access the products using special sections on the newspaper websites, which will direct them to the betting sites.
The agreement comes after GiG announced that they're going to be working with an unnamed Canadian land casino company to launch services in the province of Ontario, and the company recently entered an agreement to work with StarCasino to expand the online site into Spain.
Regarding the deal, GiG Chief Marketing Officer Jonas Warrer said, "A collaboration of this magnitude will allow us to provide added value to our partners in the sports betting and casino sphere, reaching new heights while showcasing our abilities to operate at a top-tier level."
Sun Director of Betting and Gaming Tim Reynolds also commented, adding: "The partnership and new betting hub adds to The Sun's growing digital portfolio and bolsters our suite of betting products.
"The collaboration with GiG will increase our content output and support The Sun in continually delivering excellent results for our bookmaker partners."
