Gaming operator Entain has announced that it has relaunched its eSports betting service Unikrn after temporarily closing the service last year.
Entain purchased the brand last year and quickly suspended operations, although the company did vow to bring the service back. That time is now, and Entain says that it will be pressing into expanded markets moving forward. The company already offers bets in markets like Canada and Brazil.
eSports are organized tournaments that have professional players partaking in video games and feature the likes of Overwatch, Dota, Call of Duty, and others.
Regarding the relaunch Unikrn CEO Justin Dellario said, "Over the past year, the passionate team at Entain has worked closely with us to create a safe, accessible, secure and compliant product that players can trust - even if they've never placed a bet before.
"The launch of Unikrn in both Brazil and Canada is the first step as we introduce a video games and esports betting platform that truly puts a new generation of players and their passions first."
