New York Sportsbetting Handle Hits $1.5 Billion

The state of New York has revealed its sportsbetting numbers for the month of October 2022, with the New York State Gaming Commission, noting that handle for the period was $1.54 billion, up 22.2% from September.

Gross gaming revenues were up 1.67% to $145.7 million, which beat the existing revenue record of $143.3 million in September. FanDuel, the Flutter Entertainment brand in the state led the way with $609.1 million in handle and $76.4 million in revenue. DraftKings was next with $534.6 million in handle and $41.1 million in revenue. Caesars was in third position with $195.2 million in handle and $14.9 million in revenue.

BetMGM came in at 4th with $106.2 million in handle and $8.2 million in revenues. PointsBet was next at $39.7 million in handle and $2.2 million in revenue. Rush Street Interactive had $41.8 million in handle and $1.8 million in revenues. The market was rounded out with Wynn at $9 million in handle and $525,940, while Resorts World had $6.9 million in wagers with $463,339 in revenue.

BallyBet was in last spot with $1.4 million in handle and a loss of $31,467.

New York has quickly established itself as the country's largest gambling market. The country will likely remain that way for some time, as California voters turned down two ballot initiatives that would have legalized and regulated the industry within their borders last week.
