Deadwood Handle Rises in October

Deadwood, South Dakota's gaming sector saw gambling handle rise in October, rising 6.7% to $134 million from last year, but falling 8% from the month prior.

Slot machine handle was $125.5 million, while table game handle was $7.7 million. Sportsbetting handle came in at $862,169. Adjusted gross incomes were just over $12 million. Slot revenue was up 7.67%, and for the year-to-date, revenues are up 0.4%. Gaming table revenues were down 5.96% from last year and year-to-date revenues are down 4.62%.

2022 handle to date is $1.3 billion, with slots generating over $1.2 billion in handle. Table game handle is $74 million, down from 2021. Sportsbetting handle is $5.5 million.

Taxes paid in October were $1 million, which were paid on local, county, and state levels.
