Danske Spil Revenue Rise Slightly in Q3

Danish lottery operator Danske Spil has posted its third-quarter 2022 financial results, noting a slight increase in gross gaming revenues, despite lower casino and sportsbetting revenues.

Key financial indicators for the third quarter ending September 30th, 2022 were:

  • Gross gaming revenues of DKK3.6 billion, up 1.8% from last year
  • Lottery services generated DKK2.01 billion, down 1.1% from last year
  • Sportsbetting and casino revenues fell 9.8% to DKK1.23 billion
  • Gaming hall revenues up 70.2% to DKK223 million, due to Covid restrictions being lifted
  • Det Danske Klasselotteri revenues were DKK131 million
  • State taxes paid were DKK476 million
  • Dealer commissions were DKK329 million
  • Other gambling-related costs were DKK199 million
  • External costs were DKK491 million
  • Personnel expenses were DKK248 million
  • Depreciation and amortisation costs were DKK174 million
  • Finance costs were DKK91 million
  • Pre-tax profits of DKK1.71 billion, up 7.9% from last year
  • Net profits of DKK1.26 billion, up 2.9% from last year
