Last week Caesars Entertainment announced that they're planning to reopen their Capri Lake Charles, Lousiana casino on December 12th, using the Horsehoe brand for the venue moving forward.

The casino has been closed for over two years, dating back to the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The casino was also hit by Hurricane Laura in 2020, which caused damage to the site.

Caesars opted to renovate the casino, which will be dubbed 'Horsehoe Lake Charles'. It will have 1,000 slot machines, table games, a World Series of Poker room, and a sportsbook that'll offer an array of wagers on events. Outside of gaming, there'll be a Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant, different small food stops, bars, and a 253-room hotel.

Regarding the opening Caesars President Anthony Carano said, "When we closed the Isle of Capri in 2020, we were not expecting the property to be shut down for this length of time. But we couldn't be prouder of our team and all of the hard work they've put into this beautiful property.

"We look forward to welcoming our partners and the community to celebrate with us as we commemorate this milestone and introduce them to Horseshoe Lake Charles."
